The meeting was called to order on Wednesday evening August 2, 2006 for all members and guests in attendance, After all old business was completed, the meeting was opened up for new business. The dive trip to New Jersey is on hold. Various member will be diving the St. Lawerence Seaway the week of August 21. The Club will be diving the blue hole on August 26 for an afternoon, evening, and night dive. We will be meeting at the quarry at noon. Another event happening on August is a Barbeque being held at clib member TOm Baer's house on August 122 from 4pm till whenever. All divers and their families are welcome.
As many of you may know, a fellow diver has passed away. For those of you who knew Bob Mauer, you already know how deeply he will be missed. We extend our thoughts and prayers to Bob's family. Please remember Rose, Bob's wife, in your prayers.
If you are interested in diving the Blue Hole continue to call Mauer's Dive Shop. Rose will be able to assist you.
Westsylvania divers is exploring the opportunity to work with the Army Corps of engineers for a dive park at Lake Raystown. Those interested in being a part of a committee to begin discussions with the Army Corps of Engineeers, please contact Kory at Kory@mikesscuba.com or call 814-695-4666.
The club mission statement was read and put to a vote for acceptance.
For general information, Dutch Springs will close for the season on November 19.
